Molly Venter and Eben Pariser have been active members of their respective bands for years and—until recently—always managed to live separate creative lives.
Venter’s been a singer / guitarist in the New York folk trio Red Molly since 2010. Pariser’s been the string-tickling, harmonica-huffing front man in Brooklyn bayou-blues ensemble Roosevelt Dime for just as long.
But marriage and parenthood prompted the couple to pool their talents in Goodnight Moonshine. Writing and recording together, Venter and Pariser found a different kind of fulfillment by channeling their fresh outlook as lovers, spouses, parents, and global citizens in a world they know will keep spinning long after we’re all gone.
